Torque resistance

Direct torque
This test represents component resistance when unscrewing a seized bolt.
Test conditions:
- 12.9 grade bolt
- High Elasticity Limit metal sheet for hexagonal body, in order to reduce the influence of metal sheet resistance.

Indirect torque
In most cases, indirect torque resistance is higher (even much higher) than recommended maximum tightening torque for 8.8 grade bolts with a friction coefficient of 0.20.
The value shown in the data sheets has therefore been limited to the recommended maximum tightening torque for 8.8 grade bolts with a friction coefficient of 0.20.
In other cases, the value shown in the data sheets corresponds to the recommended torque value that is compatible with CLUFIX® indirect torque resistance.

CLUFIX Indirect torque

The hexagonal body guarantees high torque resistance and easy dismantling.

Recommended maximum tightening torque (N.m) - NF E25-030 (8.8 grade bolt)

Push-out force

This test assesses the force of flush head CLUFIX® components when used in the opposite direction to that intended. This data relates to push-out force. Flange and countersunk heads are always more powerful.

Stainless steel grades

CLUFIX Inox CLUFIX Couleur Inox Stainless steel: the CLUFIX® stainless steel range is produced using stainless steel from the austenitic family. This material is renowned for its performance in corrosive environments.
CLUFIX Inox 316L CLUFIX Couleur Inox 316L 316L Stainless steel: A4 austenitic stainless steel - The presence of Molybdenum in its composition encourages the auto-generation of a passive coating. This coating offers a natural protection which preserves the intrinsic properties of the component.
316L CLUFIX® stainless steel components can be recognized by the groove on the body.
For extremely harsh environments and specific applications, LA CLUSIENNE-CLUFIX offers custom-made products that are extremely resistant to corrosion.
